Hoosier Half Marathon VOLUNTEER Form

The 10th Anniversary 2015 Hoosier Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk covers 13.1 miles of the streets in Bloomington and the IU Campus. About 275 volunteers are needed to make the event a success. Below is a list and brief description of the various volunteer categories. ALL volunteers receive a long sleeve cotton volunteer event tee shirt printed with the event logo and sponsors. All volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the location required to fulfill their duties. Due to the length of the course there are a wide variety of time commitments that are dependent on what your task is and your location on the course.

There will be volunteer orientation sessions at the DeVault Alumni Center that last no more than 1 hour on two evenings the week of the race to help make sure everyone is ready and knows what is expected. There will be a volunteer coordinator as well as volunteer section leaders that will manage all of the volunteer assignments and make sure everyone is in place, has the tools to do their job, receives their shirt, and that the course is left in as good as or better condition than we found it. Orientation dates and times for 2015 are Tuesday, April 14, 6pm and 6:45pm and Thursday, April 16, 6pm and 6:45pm.
